Task 11 - Critical Raw Materials now and in the future

Team: Nina & Elena

What are Critical Raw Materials?
CRMs are materials which are significantly important for companies in order to manufacture their products but have a high-risk associated with their supplier. This high-risk is that the materials are very rare and unique and there is a lack of substitutes for them. Nowadays the supply of these raw materials is increasingly coming under pressure. Geothermal Probe - Our Heating System

We are heating our rooms with a renewable energy source. We have a geothermal Probe.

A geothermal probe is large pipe which goes under the earth. We take the heat out of the inner of our earth.

How does it work?

We are putting cold water into the pipe, the water goes trough the whole pipe and gets heated up at the bottom of the pipe trough the geothermal. The Water circulates through this pipe and so we can heaten our house for free an unlimited.

I couldnt take a picture of our geothermal probe because it is hidden under the floor.

Our heating system

We heat with sun panels. They are very efficient and eco-friendly. It is also renewable.

As the sun shines on the roof, the water starts boiling. This is how it works.

Soon they used oil – the black gold – for their illumination, heating, the manufacture of cement and concrete, candles, cosmetics and much more. Consequently, it changed their life completely - in a very positive way. Because then, most of the things became easier to handle. More...
