**A happy new year to all of you!**
Let's start with something we think is an important theme.
Christmas time and New Years Eve are over now and a lot of you received beautiful presents or made great gifts by your own to the persons you love.
Can you remember the way the presents were wrapped in?
A lot of the bought gifts are firstly packed in plastic and afterwards in a cardboardbox. Don’t forget the gift wrapping paper in the next step, fixed with adhesive tape which is made out of plastic.

Hi Guys,
Following an update of your project:
Airplane Food
We were able to get in contact with a spokesperson from Gate Gourmet and ask Questions about our project. We'll post the original answers in german and add a short english translation.
1) How can a salad stay fresh at an altitude of 10 kilometers?

Hi Guys,
Today we discussed about a collaboration with the team sustainable packaging. We are planning to have a close collaboration next week. We will give inputs about airplane food packaging and our colleagues will give us a short overview about the different opportunities of sustainable packaging methods.
We’d like to find out if the way of packaging of the airplane food is sustainable and if not, if there are possibilities to change this for the future.
We are looking forward to the collaboration and to gain some new knowledge.
Best regards,
Team sustainable packaging & Team Airplane Food
Dear friends, students and teachers
Did you ever think about the impact of plastic on our environment ?
We have the possibility to change something in our world and we should use this chance. A future without plastic or at least much less plastic would be much better. We want to show with our project what biodegradeable foil is and that there are so many opportunities of using it.
We should all stand together as one and make our world a better place for our next generations.

We made an interview last week and now we can write it down, translate it and bring it in form. The Goal is to bring the whole interview in form. Sharon is sick so I will work alone today.
End of the lesson: I translated the whole interview today and the whole interview is now in form. I made some new researches to find new inputs for our final post on dontwastemyenergy.
I wish for our planet that there is no more plastic waste existing. I wish there is no more plastic in the oceans and forests. I hope the costs for sustainable packaging will sink and they will invent different alternatives. A world where animals and humans can live a happy life without health problems caused by plastic waste. Stop destroying!

Today we had the possibility to make an interview with a specialist for renewable packaging of the development department of the company Wipf AG.
We prepared the questions carefully before and gained very much new knowledge. We also had the chance to take some pictures and make a video of a part of the production process which was very intersting to see.
Our next steps will be to bring our interview in form and edit our taken video before we post it. We also want to take another video in a store to show the differences between the production part and the purchase part. We want to show that it is possible to do the shopping more or less plasticfree.

Stay tuned!
Best regards
Claudia & Sharon
The second and one of the most important steps is research. We already informed us at the beginning of the project about bio packaging. I worked 5 years for the company Wipf AG, so I visited them and organised already some material. Now we have a data sheet and a documentation from the bio packaging foil with all the information about the raw material and production. We also got a sample of the bio packaging foil which can be used in different ways.
The following step was the reasearch in the internet. We found some different sources and saved them on the OneNote. Yesterday Sharon and I met to prepare the questions for our interview.
The next step will be to summarize the collected information to be well prepared for our interview with a specialist of the packaging department from Wipf AG.
We're looking forward to gain some new experiences.
