Marketing Report - Final results and achievements

Review – Marketing Team

Hello everyone 

When Mrs. Suter proposed the idea of building a marketing team, which is going to promote the Instagram-Account of this whole collaboration, we accepted this challenge and we signed up for this project. The name of the Instagram was «@where2where. The goal was to promote the account (gain more followers) and the projects of our classmates. We had a lot of ideas and strategies. First, we thought to make an appearance in the student’s newspaper of the wkvw and to promote there the Instagram-Account. Unfortunately, the newspaper won’t be launched until summer, so this strategy couldn’t be realized.

Another strategy was to hang up a poster in our school. Like that, people walking by could see it and follow us on Instagram, if they are interested in our idea. So, we designed a special poster with an interesting look hang it up in our school. [image of poster, localities of posters in progress]

Before we could hang it up, we first had to change the name of the Instagram account. We decided, alongside our teacher, to change it to “@dontwaste_myenergy”. We think it is a much better name due to the similarity with the website.

After we had changed the name, we designed and hung up the poster in our school. The next step was to contact some newspapers like Blick or 20 Minuten. Unfortunately, we never got any response from a newspaper, which is pretty sad.

Nevertheless, the number of followers rose from 30 to 90. So, we think our poster and our propaganda did help to promote the Instagram account.

Now, we are posting all the projects of our class on Instagram as soon as they publish it on the website dontwastemy.energy.
