After I had watched a few scenes from the movie "Humans - destroyers of Earth" I've searched for some ways how every person can do something against climate change. It is very good, when we get informations about things that happen in our world. But it will not getting better just with knowing about it. When we want a change we have to start with ourselves.
So, let's get ready for some ideas how you can make a difference:
- When you buy food or cosmetic products, look after products without palm oil. Many Forests were cut down cruel to plant some new palm oil plantations. When you see products with certified palm oil, then it's okay. Because certified palm oil ist made from farmers, which look after that the forest doesn't suffer. - Another easy way to change something ist to buy only seasonal food. When you buy some strawberries in winter, they often come from another country. The Strawberries have to be transported by plane, ship, truck or something else. During this long route much CO2 escape into our world. And as the movie showed: there are 1400 tons of carbon dioxid in the lower atmosphere. We should try to stop this number growing.
- And the easiest of all things you can do: Stop littering! It doesn't matter if you throw a chewing gum, a cigarette stub, a plastic bag or cans on the ground. We have so many trash buckets everywhere. It's no effort to throw trash in a bucket.
I hope it helped you to get some easy ideas how you can make a change. I know there are many things more, which we can do. So open your eyes for those things and make a difference. The world gives thanks! I know YOU can do it! 😉
