Cosmetics were already used in the ancient world (egypt & greece) but with one big difference to modern cosmetics; the ingredients were ALL natural. How nice is that!
But things have drastically changed... Audio: Why you SHOULD care about this (NO CLICKBAIT)
Modern cosmetics uses a lot of chemicals and bad ingredients, for example:
◦Petroleum / Palm Oil - Parabens - Fragrances - Emulsifiers - Aluminum - Microplastics - Sulfates
These can cause various human diseases, just like:
◦Hormonally Effective (Diabetes / Cancer / Infertility) - Skin Vulnerability
Also for animals it can be bad:
◦Animal Testing - Infested Living Space - Used as Ingredients
Of course it's also bad for the environment:
◦Pollution - Manufacturing / Mining
But thank god there is an organic trend going on which makes companies use more environment-friendly ingredients and packaging. A lot of people like to use vegan products. :)
