Rhododendrons
Also known as Burans or Laligurans, Rhododendrons are one of the best evergreen shrubs or small trees with a showy display of bright red and pink flowers. It is a genus of 1,024 species of woody plants in the heath family. It is mainly found in Asia and is the national flower of Nepal. Most species of Rhododendrons have brightly colored flowers which bloom from late winter through to early summer.

Medical Uses of Rhododendrons
It is used in many medicines also. The bark of Rhododendrons are used in the treatment of Coughs, Diarrohea and Dysentery. A decoction of the flowers is used to check a tendency to vomit, especially if there is also a loss of appetite. The juice of the flowers is used in the treatment of menstrual disorders.
Other Uses of Rhododendrons
Both species and hybrid rhododendrons (including azaleas) are used extensively as ornamental plants in landscaping in many parts of the world, including both temperate and subtemperate regions.
