Legalizing Cannabis - Concept

16. November 2019 Joel-Burlet Project ideas, Project planning, M17a Zurich, Food plants (7)

Goals:

- Find out how much government revenue can be generated by legalizing cannabis

- Find out on what the money that would be generated by legalizing cannabis, could be spent on

- Where can the plant be grown to better protect the environment 

- What are the downsides of the plan

 

Expectations:

- Get a nice collaboration

- Good quality of project

- Going on a trip to find new informations

 

Step by step:

- Get in touch with some ppl. from other countries who can be our project partners

- Decide on which platform we wanna communicate with them (whatsapp, skype, e-Mail)

- Fix the team goals

- Divide the work which has to be done fairly

- Put all the findings together to one project and publishing it

    I think it is a very interesting idea, because a lot of money is wasted with illegal cannabis production. Also if you plant them outside they can convert CO² tot 0². But there are also a lot of downsides.

    I find the idea interesting because it is a very controversial topic. but I do have a question: How are you going to contain the legal production if everyone can grow their own? I also think everyone should grow them outside to convert carbon dioxide into oxygen. Maybe also add what the downsides of legalizing cannabis are?

    It's a start and an unusual approach.
    Try to become more concrete and, if necessary, talk to an economics teacher about it. What is your strategy? What methods will you use? Do you have a time a rough time plan?

    hello!
    I really think this is a very intersting topic. It's quite a taboo atm, but in fact it represents as much as alcohol. So it's quite weird that it isn't legal. You could make a lot of money in this sector (look to other countries where it is legal). But I'm interesting where you draw the line. Just legalizing weed or other (rather) innocent drugs, like shrooms?
    I hope you can make a conclusion for this, becaus if we legalize one, other people will want more to be legalized, so you have to be prepared!

    The topic you have chosen is really interesting and valuable for the society. It would be nice if we find a way to make the cannabis plant very environmentally friendly. The plant indeed only represents as much as alcohol so it could be a possibly legal soft drug. If it becomes legal, the amount of cannabis will also be more controllable than it is now.

    The legalisation of Cannabis is a big taboo these days, mostly because people Don’t know much about it. I think it’s great that you are researching those things yourselves. There is a lot of wrong information and thoughts spread around this topic.
