Like we promised last week, we will tell you today what happens when we run out of petroleum.
According to calculations we will run out of oil in 50 to 60 years.
Many people do not know that we come into contact with products containing petroleum several times a day.
Which products contain petroleum?
- Cosmetic products (bodylotion, mascara & shower gel)
- Chewing gum
- Fuel (cars, plans etc.)
- Clothes
- Candles
- Tupperware
- Mattresses, duvets, pillows
- Swimming suit
- Cleaning products
- etc.
As you now realize, many products contain petroleum.
The consequence for us humans is therefore that we already have to find more alternatives to oil and get used to them. A lot of what is daily routine for us would fall away. For example, cars would run out of fuel, airplanes would no longer be able to fly and many articles would have to be produced differently, like chewing gum, clothes or cosmetic products.
Next time we will look at how we can share petroleum so that we can keep petroleum for a longer time.
