collaboration

Hi Guys,

Today we discussed about a collaboration with the team sustainable packaging. We are planning to have a close collaboration next week. We will give inputs about airplane food packaging and our colleagues will give us a short overview about the different opportunities of sustainable packaging methods.

We’d like to find out if the way of packaging of the airplane food is sustainable and if not, if there are possibilities to change this for the future.

We are looking forward to the collaboration and to gain some new knowledge.

Best regards,

Team sustainable packaging & Team Airplane Food

Our goals of today

We made an interview and today we will post the interview on the horse. Additionally, we also try to collaborate with our colleagues from the project sustainable packaging. With the collaboration we want to pull the project on a new level.

Best regards,

Jeff & Loris

Research

Research is a very important step in our project. We already contacted someone from the industry which can give us more information. Additionally, we already contacted our interview person. Furthermore, we are in contact with flight attendants which can give us information about the process on board. I work for the Airline Swiss therefore we have an advantage in which we are able to get in touch with the responsible persons easily.

Of course, we will also make our investigation in the internet and we already did some. A lot of information are available in the specific industries newspaper. Although there are not much data on the internet, we are also well connected that we can get every information.

We would be delighted if we hear something from the other students to make our topic more interesting.

We will get some photos how the crew prepares the food and how they reheat the meal on board.

Imagination

Airplane Food: How can salad stay fresh in 10'000 meter a.s.l

When I'm thinking about our project, in my mind came that it is a really interesting topic. However, it is a long way till we have finished our project. In my opinion it is important that we are working according to our plan which we made. Secondly, we need now to get in touch with companies which are working in that specific area to make an interview.

Additionally, I want to find out how the food is produced and how the meals are prepared, that they stay fresh. If possible, I would also like to ask some critical question at the interview, to find out a little bit more.

recording meals my opinion

I’m my opinion it was hard to always think about the task during a stressful day. Sometime I forgot to update the data with my food and I inserted it in the evening. Additionally, it was not always clear in which category the food allocate too.

However, it was interesting to see how much food we are really eating per Day and what the ingredients are.

I‘m looking forward to see the data and work with it.
