How much energy is in my meal?

We had to have a closer look at a daily meal. We were given the task to calculate the energy of the prepared food and to show it in the following three units of measurement: kilokalories (kcal), kilojoules (kJ) and kilowatthours (kWh).

On Monday I prepared "Tortillas" for lunch. The kids love this dish, because they can choose from various ingredients.

Calculation for one single Tortilla filled with chicken, salad, corn, cheese and sour cream:

290 Kalories (kcal)  --> 1214.172 kilojoules (kJ) --> 0.33727 kilowatthours (kWh)

To calculate these three units I used an online calculator. Klick here to find out.
