What to do on 29.11.2019

Michel and I are going to do:

  • Look up local breweries or distilleries
  • Start with the questions of the interview
  • Create a draft for request to make an interview

 

 

We found our brewery. It's located in Pfäffikon ZH. I will go there personally to ask if we could make an interview/tour of the brewery. This would be a great opportunity for Deia and Rezon for the Instagram page. The brewery from "Chopfab" could be a possibility as well.

We got some questions together which we got in a seperate word file.

Unfortunately we hadn't got time to create the draft.

Our goals for today - 29th of November 2019

Impact on climate by food

In this two lessons we are going to finish our research for 20 minutes. After researching, we are going to exchange the results. We might have our conversation with Ms. Suter about how far we are during these lessons. Until the end of the second lesson we would like to have the questionnaire for the interview ready. We thought about a municipality, for example Bülach, Winterthur or Zürich. During the research, we might find some other contact points to do the interview with.

Food wastage in Indian Weddings 

 

  • What is food wastage?

  • How is food wastage and Indian weddings related?
  • What happens to the leftover food in Indian weddings?
  • What is the average amout of food wasted?
  • How is it linked with climate change?
  • What is people's call on this ? How are they discarding the waste generated in the present scenario?
  • What can be some alternatives to food wastage?
  • Why isnt the quantity restricted?
  •  Was the idea of limiting the expenditure in Indian weddings right or wrong ?

Challenge for no food waste

Hi everyone,

I need your help. We did a survey draft to collect our first data. The key in our project is, that as many people as possible join us. The thing is that we have a little bit of difficulties how we can encourage people to do the challenge. I thought that we can do a kobotoolbox with the gender, if the person bought or made it and a before and after pic of the food. Also important is if they were successfully this day or not.

Current status of our project & Experience

Today we had the possibility to make an interview with a specialist for renewable packaging of the development department of the company Wipf AG.

We prepared the questions carefully before and gained very much new knowledge. We also had the chance to take some pictures and make a video of a part of the production process which was very intersting to see.

Our next steps will be to bring our interview in form and edit our taken video before we post it. We also want to take another video in a store to show the differences between the production part and the purchase part. We want to show that it is possible to do the shopping more or less plasticfree.

What is a green wall?

A green wall is a wall covered with greenery. It can be indoor or outdoor. And most of the green walls have an integrated water delivery system.
It depends if the green wall is indoor or outdoor. The plants have to be matching to the surrounding location.

The difference between the green walls and the green facades is, that green walls have soil overall face of the wall. Green facades only have soil on the ground.

Local farming and product | Facebook post

Have you ever been to a farm checking out how apples are growing? An apple is always worth it since all of us know: "An apple a day keeps the doctor away." We went to a local farmer recently, he showed us the plantation and told us about the harvest. It was very interesting to gain more knowledge about the relation between climate and the apple lifecycle. Stay with us and we keep you posted, cheers!
