Renewable energy from plastic waste

Plastic use has increased by twenty percent since the 1950s and so has the amount of its waste generated. Estimates show that less than 5% of the plastic manufactured each year is recycled, although, production of plastic is still increasing. Instead of burning the material and therefore creating additional air pollution there was a new way found to turn plastic waste into green energy. More...

International collaboration project

We talked about the problems and the steps, which are necessary to have a good teamwork for our collaboration project. The digital-systems are also important for a good communication.

Here our ideas:

Our next task was to think about the advantages of an international collaboration project:

  • Get used to the English and learn new English skills
  • Learn something about the other culture
  • Make friends
  • Get know about the current situation about the climate change
  • Have fun and enjoy working on the project

climate change

Unfortunately, this film shows us today's problems with the environment. Due to the accumulated plastic in the oceans, it can lead to the stagnation of the seas. As far as I know, that can affect the entire ocean current and bring it to a standstill. If that happens, we have a big problem. Then you have to invent a submerged Fentilator or something similar. Another problem is that accumulating CO2. Due to this, the planet is heating up more and more. So it happens that the sea level rises. An important reason for this is the overpopulation. By having so many people on our planet, we strongly encourage the accumulation of CO2. In my opinion, we have to change something immediately to protect our planet.

1400 billion tons of CO2

“Between 0 and 15 km  above sea level, there are 1400 billion tons of carbon dioxide around the world”, this statement can be heard in the documentary «Humans – Destroyers of Earth».

Carbon dioxide, also called CO2, is one of the many reasons that has brought changes to the earth.

CO2 is heard over and over again but what is it and why does that gas make the earth heat up?

Carbon dioxide is a colorless and  greenhouse gas. The chemical formula is CO2. Carbon dioxide consists of a carbon atom and  two oxygen (Sauerstoff) atoms.More...
