Gas as an energy source

Biogas and natural gas

The 2 most important gases used as an energy carrier is the natural gas (Erdgas) and the biogas. It is important to mention that there exist a lot of other different types of gases but since these are the most common ones we will explain those. The biggest difference between natural gas (Erdgas) and biogas is that the biogas is renewable and the natural gas is not.More...

Laptop - Calculation

A laptop has always been used for 3 hours a day. It used 50 Watts = 0.15 kwh per day. The costs for 1kwh is 0.20 Francs

Now because of the corona virus we have to use the laptop for 7 hours a day. How many kilowatt hours per day is that and how much does it cost per day?

You can find the solution on the one note.

Energy Source - warmwater boiler

What’s the energy source (Energieträger) for heating your room?

For heating our house, we use a water boiler at home. Please find below the picture of it. The boiler heats the water to the requested temperature and then saves it. In order to save costs it gets heated up during the night.

Is it renewable or non-renewable energy?

Because of the fact that a boiler uses water for heating it is a renewable energy

Sharing concept of old school books

Introduction

Every year, many young students have to pay around 1000 Swiss francs for their new school books in order to start the BMS. Therefore many trees are getting felled which is not good for our environment. Additionally the old books would just get burned which creates a lot of co2 emissions and wastes a large amount of energy. So wouldn't it be better if the students who finished the BMS could just give their books to the new students? This way we could safe a lot of trees and money at the same time.

My idea

This is the idea I have and which I believe could help a lot of students and the environment at the same time. More...

Cirular Economy - The best way to safe resources?

Audio Circular Economy

In order to understand the circular economy, it is important to know that there is also a linear economy. The linear economy simply is the process of manufacturing a product and after it has been used it gets discarded. As everyone knows, this is extremely bad for our environment since the product gets burnt which causes a lot of co2 emissions and the product is destroyed. This is very bad for our planet and therefore we needed a new solution.

Therefore, the circular economy has been created.More...
