Imagination food waste in our supermarkets in 100 years

Hello together

Our task for today is to think about how the food waste in supermarkets in 100 years will look like.

We think there won't be any supermarkets in 100 years because everything will be delivered at home. We imagine also that there wouldn’t be food waste because the people are sensiblized to this topic and look on what and how much food they buy.

Best regards,

Anja and Nathan

goal for this lesson (06.12.2019)

Hello together

Here our goals for this lesson:

First we are going to do our task, about how we imagine our project in 100 years.

Unfortunately, we had to postpone our visit in the choclate factory. We are planing, to do that on the 22 December 2019. So in this lesson today, we are going to write an e-mail to the chocolate factory and ask, if it is possible to visit them.

In addition, we want to find out more about our project, start to write for the post on “dontwastemy.energy” and ask Elizabeth from our collaboration, how much she already has.

Best regards,

Rahel & Shana

How will the world look in 100 years

In our project, we will have a look at how much money the government could earn through taxes if they would legalize cannabis and how this money could get used to fight against the climate change. Our project won't be really relevant or believable in 100 years because until then drug laws won't be that strict or even exist. The government won't waste money for a fight against Cannabis anymore which is even now already lost. We hope that the climate change won't be a problem then anymore and the money from cannabis taxes helped getting over it.

Imagination step 1 in a hundred years

Hello everyone,

We will talk about the impact on climate by food. We've posted the imagination step 1 an now we will think about how it well look like in a hundred years.

First of all we need to imagine what we will eat in a hundred years. Did we change our eating habits because of our climate, because there are no animals left or because of cultural change? In our opinion we will have changed our eating habits because of the climate. At this time the meat production will still exist but it will be reduced enormous and we will eat more insects than nowadays. Insects can replace beef, pork and chicken, because of their high amount of energy and protein. In addition eating insects would be better for our environment, because we don't have too give them food as we have to do with cows, pigs and chickens. Furthermore there will be less vegetables and fruits, because our climate will change and the import will be more difficult because of the co2 emission.

Best regards,

Deniz and Maria

Step 1: Imagination - Junk Food in 100 years

In 100 years...

... we may eat less Junk Food. More and more people start to overthink their eating habits. Especially in the european countries people want to support local and healthy food.

... we may print our food with a 3D-printer and wouldn't have any Junk Food restaurants in our towns. The development of the 3D-Print technology, will always get better.

... we may all have our own little garden for our food. So the environment will get protected, because the food, doesn't have to travel from other countries to ours.

Timetable

Hello everyone

First of all we asked Ms. Mittelholzer, if we can publish an article in the newspaper of the school. She was excited about the idea and gave us permission to do that. Unfortunately, the newspaper won't be released until spring 2020.

We asked around and found out, that Mr. Steuble is one of the owners of the wkvw Instagram-account. In the next week, we want to contact Mr. Steuble about a collaberation of our account and the one from wkvw.

We are planning to contact the secretary and ask them, if we they can hang up a Poster or something similar to promote our Instagram-account and the projects of the class. We want to do that within a week.

At the moment we have 29 followers on Instagram and our goal is to reach 200 followers until Christmas.

We will do from to time some posts about the projects of our projects.

We already started rating the posts of our classmates about their projects. We want to continue doing this regularly.

The next post will be an advertisement for our Instagram-account.

As you can see, we set up a lot of Goals and we will try our best to reach them.

goal for this lesson

Hi

Here are our goals for this lesson:

First we are going to inform Elizabeth from india, about our idea.

Then we are going to plan our visit in a chocolate factory.

Subsequently, we are going to search general information about the consumption of chocolate in switzerland.

Here our results:

We informed Elizabeth, about our idea and now we are waiting for her response.

We found a chocolate factory in Hinwil (called Schoggihüsli), which we visit next Friday for some information and pictures.

What we found out about the consumption of chocolate in switerland:

The brands Nestlé, Lindt and Sprüngli are in the top seven of the world's biggest producer of chocolate. Switzerland has the highest consumption of chocolate with about eleven kg per person in one year.

According to Chocosuisse, in 2016, 185,639 tonnes of Swiss chocolate were sold worldwide. This generated more than 1,764 million Swiss francs.

Each fruit contains 40 to 50 beans. This is the amount of beans which are needed to make a bar of chocolate.

Best regards,

Shana & Rahel
