Hello together
Attached you can find our introduction for our article.
Best regards
Anja & Nathan
In recent years there has been a lot of discussion in politic and media about food waste. Some countries have made laws to reduce food-waste. In France supermarkets aren’t allowed waste food. They have to give it for free to homeless people before they waste the food. In Germany they have similar laws for food waste like France. In Switzerland we don’t have any laws for food waste in supermarkets. Here they are allowed to throw away what they want.
Our experience
To sum up water in agriculture is a very big problem. Most of the water in the world is not consumed in the home. Agriculture uses about 70 percent of the water. This fact is extremely fascinating. Our opinion after this foundings from the interviews has changed. We have to save water. It is a scarce good and we have to pay attention to the usage.
In the beginning we thought that the watering on farms is not that common. We also imagined that in probably every country they have no problems with water except of the continent of Africa. If we think how water will be used in 100 years in the agriculture, we don‘t think very positiv. Because of the climat change the farmers need to water their plantage more often than today. It will not rain as often and if it rains the rainfall is much weaker. The farmers have confirmed our suspicion of water scarcity in the future with the survey.
Because of all these discoveries, we decided to create an Instagram account on which we want to share how important it is to take care of our water. So, if you are interested in the topic of the water supplying in agriculture follow us on Instagram the_use_of_water
As we have already mentioned, we had the opportunity to cooperate with India. Except for a few misunderstandings, our communication was excellent. Once our collaboration was established, we opened a group chat on WhatsApp. We exchanged ideas, shared our progress and sent each other pictures. Video chats were also a very helpful option. We made good progress and all members tried to complete the tasks on time. Of course there were also some technical problems. The Internet caused us difficulties in chatting again and again. Also the time difference was noticeable here and there. But all in all it was a very positive experience.
Goals for today's work
Today we want to discuss our improved survey with Mrs. Suter. Afterwards we are going to implement the last improvements and start a "testing round" in our class. More...
Hey guys
On the 6th of december 2019 I went with Michel Fejzullai and Simon Laubacher to the Sudwerk in Pfäffikon Zurich. There we met a very friendly man called Martin. He is the owner of the Sudwerk. Afterwards, he showed us the process of making high quality beer. He told us that we doesn't like the beer from the popular companies, such as Heineken, Feldschlössli or Quelfrösch. The reason is the taste. In his opinion, these beers taste boring. "It's just mixed water", he said.
It was really interesting to learn new things about beer. Unfortunately, in this Business it is very difficult to create an ecological beer, because a lot of raw materials have to be imported from England. In Switzerland we don't have enough barley malt to produce beer. Of Course, we could taste some tasty beers, yummy!
If you want to know more about the interview, you can take a look in Simons and Michels Project. H
We prepared a few questions for the survey.
We still have to decide whether we do the survey online or live.
Afterwards we have to make an appointment with the Bio Farm to see how they produce the meat.
1. How often do you eat meat?
At home, we eat at least once a day meat. We change it. On one day we eat chicken and on the other fish or anything else.
2. Do you think meat will be replaced in a few years?
No I don't think so. The majority still eats meat and will still be eating meat. There might be more vegetarians in a few years but meat won't be replaced, not in switzerland.
3. Is a vegeterian life better?
Can't really tell. I personally cant resist meat.
4. Did you ever see how they produced the meat?
5. Do you think that we increase the eating of food?
We've got an answer to our request about visiting a hemp-farm. They told us that they don't have enough time to show us their hemp-farm because they have a huge amount of requests from other students as well. But they said we can send them our questions for our interview and they will try their best to answer them. Our next steps will therefore be:
- sending them our questions per e-Mail
- start to collect their answers as well as our informations and findings
- prepare the documents so we can publish our project as soon as possible

Hi
In this post you can find our Goals for the lesson of the 13.12.2019 and what we achieved.
Goals
So the Goals for this lesson are to wirte an email to another chocolate factory in Illnau. Last week we wrote one to the chocolate factory in Pfäffikon ZH, but they told us, that it isn't possible to visit the production.
In Addition, we want to focuse on the Facts of the Produktion we can find in the internet, to prepare our post.
Next week we'll visit the factory (if it's possible), so that we can make picures for the post and also find our more interessting things.
What we achieved
We wrote the mail to the facotry, as we planed and found some new information about chocolate, the consumption and the production, which we wrote on the one note, untill we have anything we need to make the post.
Best regards,
Rahel & Shana
Hello everyone,
At home we asked our family about our topic "impact on food by climate". Today we will analyse the answers and write them down and also find out what the biggest difference is between the older and the younger generation (parents and siblings).
It would be advantageous if we could prepare everything for the post on dontwastemy.energy.
Best regards,
Maria & Deniz
Michel, Deia from the communication team and I went to a local brewery in Pfäffikon ZH. It is called Sudwerk.
These are the questions we asked. In addition to that the beer was excellent.
We highly recommend it to everybody.
Greetings
Simon und Michel

Probably food-wasting will still be a problem in the future. But in fact many person have a luxury life what food depends and they don’t take care that much when they throw food away. It is hard for restaurants or grocery-stores to throw food away. It is necessary to calculate the menus more. For example in restaurant they could make smaller menus and if someone wants more, they could ask if someone bring one portion more.
Maybe in future will be much more finish-products, for example a menu like spaghetti and you just have to put it in the microwave. All that food have to be packaged in plastic. As a solution, every food have too much packaging product like plastic and carton and we think that should be reduce.
Food is something, a human need and something we can’t live without. Except there will be another solution like only smooth-food, everything is like a smoothie.
