Water supply and climate change in agriculture - interview questions & answers - Step 3

Step 3 — Experience

16th November 2019 at 3pm

We did an interview with a regional farmer (Thomas Kunz) from Switzerland about corn planting. To specify this he is from the region of Zurich. If you are interested in the exact location, here the map. Thomas is a close friend of Lars. He explained the process from planting to harvesting. Enclosed you are able to see the interview questions and answers:

  1. Which cereal do you plant?
We plant corn. (It is a root crop and not a grain)More...

Our next steps

We prepared a few questions for the survey.

We still have to decide whether we do the survey online or live.

Afterwards we have to make an appointment with the Bio Farm to see how they produce the meat.

1. How often do you eat meat?

2. Do you think meat will be replaced in a few years?

3. Is a vegeterian life better?

4. Did you ever see how they produced the meat?

5. Do you think that we increase the eating of food?

Concept for our project

Hi everyone!

Down below you find our concept for our project about food wasting. If you have any question, please contact us.

Team building:

  • Julia and Selina
  • other interested people from other countries
  • Team leader (Julia and Selina)

We will:

  • good communication
  • find a lot of information

Focus:

  • Learn more about this topic
  • Learn how to do a web post
  • Learn from each other

Steps:

  • find collaboration students
  • collect ideas
  • split the exercises
  • ask the catering some questions like of an interview
  • gain informations from the internet

Goal:

With our project we want to alert people to draw attention against food wasting.

Best regards,

Julia and Selina

Imagination - What does the world look like in 100 years?

Imagine the world in 100 years...

Is the earth really getting warmer?

Are we going to feed on artificial food?

Will there still be such large forest areas?

We imagine the world will getting a few degrees warmer. There will be no more glaciers either. Due to the rising water level, some islands, for example the Maldives, will no longer exist. Also we think that the forest areas will be populated by houses.

We can think of many more thoughts on this topic and there is much more to mention. We want to explore what a teenager, an adult, a child, an economics teacher and a climate physicist think about with interviews.

If you are interested, sign up for a collaboration.

Environmentally friendly greetings,

Emanuela & Vanessa
