Here you can see a little sketch of our project planning. We researched a little bit and came to the conclusion to collect data with an app. The difficulties are, to motivate as much people as we can to have a good result.

The second and one of the most important steps is research. We already informed us at the beginning of the project about bio packaging. I worked 5 years for the company Wipf AG, so I visited them and organised already some material. Now we have a data sheet and a documentation from the bio packaging foil with all the information about the raw material and production. We also got a sample of the bio packaging foil which can be used in different ways.
The following step was the reasearch in the internet. We found some different sources and saved them on the OneNote. Yesterday Sharon and I met to prepare the questions for our interview.
The next step will be to summarize the collected information to be well prepared for our interview with a specialist of the packaging department from Wipf AG.
We're looking forward to gain some new experiences.

Dear colleagues around the world
See below our sketch for the project "Airplane food and its production".
Feel free to comment and give inputs; we're open for suggestions.

Airplane Food: How can salad stay fresh in 10'000 meter a.s.l
When I'm thinking about our project, in my mind came that it is a really interesting topic. However, it is a long way till we have finished our project. In my opinion it is important that we are working according to our plan which we made. Secondly, we need now to get in touch with companies which are working in that specific area to make an interview.
Additionally, I want to find out how the food is produced and how the meals are prepared, that they stay fresh. If possible, I would also like to ask some critical question at the interview, to find out a little bit more.
Green walls for a green city
Today our Team started to plan the post on dontwastemy.energy. We started Looking for some interesting Topics for our Project post.
First of all, we want to explain what green walls are and where they can be found. Moreover we want to Show, what effects green walls have on the air in Citys. As well we want to contact an architect to learn how a green wall is created and if there are any regulations.
The final summarize of our Topics:
1. What are green walls?
2. What effects do green walls have?
3. How is a green wall created?
4. Are there any regulations to build a green wall?

We are Looking Forward to the Research!

Hello everybody
We want to do a project about the lifecycle of a local product. We decided to to the lifcycle of an apple.
If we think about a local product, we think about its production, its care and finally its way to the grocery store.
For us a local product is planted and then it needs a lot of care. It has to be protect of many damages like hail or frost and damages through animals. Further we think that it is very important how the apple is harvested, because we think, that the harvest is decisive for the criterias to sell the apple in the grocery store.
With our project, we would like to show the different steps from how an apple tree got planted to how and when the apples will be picked from the tree. We want to find out how big or small the ecological footprint of this production and its impact on the climate is. In conclusion: What is needed that such a popular product ends up in the grocery store?
This week, we will do an interview with a local farmer to answer our questions. We are looking forward to our project!

When I thing about our project green walls for a green city, I think this is going to be a very interestign project
I wan't to find out, what affects the green walls have for our environment. I can imagine, that they have a very positive impact to reduce the greenhouse gasses. Furthermore I would like to find out, how the procedure is to make and to keep alive those green walls. Is it possible to make it everywhere? And are there any regulations in switzerland for the green walls.?
I hope in the end we can make a interesting blogpost, where other peoples can learn all those things about the green walls.
Let's find out, if the green walls are something for our future.
Project: Green walls for a green city
Step One: Imagination

When I think of our project, it remembers me of all the green houses in the villages. I imagine a big city full of green walls everywhere you look with a lot of insects having their habitat there and a lot of healthy people living in those green houses.
More and more I recognise that green houses are most common in villages and not in big citys. I think in Citys green houses would be much more effective for the air and the whole environment as the villages are already located close to the country side. Furthermore I would like to write about the impact the plants really have on the air pollution. It would be also very interesting to get some statements from people who are living in a green house or at least next to one. Do they really feel the good impact of the plants in their habitat?
I am looking forward to work on our project!

Our project idea concerns the sustainable packaging method. In my opinion, there should be a possibility to create or develop a method which is 100% bio degradeable. Our world and nature as we know until today, will no longer exist in the future if we go the same way as we do now. We should take care about our environment. If I think about a renewable and sustainable packaging method, I have a lot of thoughts which come to my mind; the waste problem, industries, the production by itself, the environment which is polluted by so much plastics.
In my opinion our aim should be to give an overview about some alternative packaging methods. We will concentrate on the sustainable and bio degradeable foil and clarify how the impact to the environment is in contrast to a common plastic foil. We’d like to answer the questions which raw materials are needed, if it is really better than plastic packaging, what the advantages and disadvantages are and what the impact to our lives is.
I’d like to change the thinking of the humans which has hopefully an influence to the behaviour.
If you’d like to know more about our project and concept, take a look here.
Best regards
Sharon
