My room is heated with gas. The most common is natural gas, as well as liquid gases. Urban gas or biogas are less common. The whole house has a kind of central heating or boiler. There is a heater in my room. I can choose the heat myself. In summer the heating level is always at 0 and in winter between 3 to 5. In order to prevent an explosion when the flame goes out due to the escape of unburned gas, gas heaters are equipped with a fuse (Zündsicherung).
How it works:
First, gas is burned. This creates the required heat for the water... The heat reaches the individual apartments.
