Names of research team: Stefanie Kunz, Simone Etter, Tamara Keller
Project idea / topic: The life cycle of a local product
Our Questions, we want to answer with our project:
- Which steps are necessary to produce an apple?
- How and when will the apples be picked from the tree?
- How big or small is the ecological footprint of this production and its impact on the climate?
- How do our results look like, compared with another country?
In general, we want to analyse what is needed to provide this product in the grocery store.

Nowadays it is normal to drive to work by car in the morning. But is that necessary? In Switzerland, we can be proud of our public transport, because it connects even the smallest villages. Why do not we just use public transport? Because of convenience? In addition, owning a car is much more expensive than, for example, a train subscription for the whole of Switzerland. A car-free life is also much better for the environment. That's why we challenge you to live without a car for a month!

The earth is getting warmer, more and more trees are being felled, w
e need more and more food every day.
But what will the whole world look like in 100 years? We also asked ourselves this question and numerous ideas came to our minds.
But what does a child, a teenager, an adult, an economics teacher, a climate physicist think about it? With the help of interviews we would like to explore the different views. Do you have any ideas? Contact us for an interview or a collaboration!
We are looking forward to a project enforcement and good cooperation with you!
Best wishes
Emanuela and Vanessa
Hello together,
Our projectidea was to find out more about food waste in our big and small supermarkets here in Switzerland and around the world.
What are the differences between big and small supermarkets?
Which effect does the food waste have on climate change?
And what can be possible solutions?
We would like it if you share your experiences with us.
Kind regards,
Anja and Nathan
Hello together
We like to show you our new project about mineral oil. Our goal is to find out how much mineral oil is needed to produce one portion of french-fries. Moreover we want to calculate the costs for one portion of french-fries, if we use natural energy sources. At the end we gonna use our calculations to look how much Mineral oil is used in one year just for the production of French-fries in switzerland.

We all tried alcoholic beverages before. So lets ask ourselves this very important question.
Did you ever wonder in what way the production of for example beer or wine affects the environment?
Then join us in out journey in finding this out.
Check out what we have to say about this and what we are looking for.
Kind regards from Switzerland
Michel and Simon
